Interzum is an international trade fair for suppliers of the furniture industry and interior fittings, which takes place every two years in Cologne. It is regarded as the world's leading trade fair of the industry and includes materials and components for furniture production and interior design, equipment, materials and components for the production of upholstered furniture and mattresses, cover materials, innovative materials and lighting technology. International exhibitors show the design trends and visions. Therefore the fair is a source of inspiration for product developers, designers and architects. The interzum inspires with global product launches, which confirm the reputation of the interzum as an innovative trade fair. The fair is open to trade visitors only and impresses with its internationality through the high and steadily increasing amount of foreign visitors. This creates new synergies resulting in internationally promotion of global trade, manufacturing and interior fittings. An extensive program rounds off the spectrum of the fair and culminates in the highlight with the awarding of the prestigious "interzum award" for original design, innovative materials, innovative strength and perfect function.
On the whole the organisers welcomed on the 4 days of the fair, from 05. May to 08. May 2015, about 1561 exhibitors from 57 countries and 57500 visitors from 143 countries on the interzum in Cologne.
