The international design fair taking place in Stuttgart is a large trade and public fair regarding furniture, lighting, product, fashion and jewellery design. The fair ranks among the greatest design shopping events in Germany, Austria and Switzerland and it takes place in part for more than 20 years on an annual basis at six locations in Europe. Across the design disciplines of furniture, lighting, product, fashion and jewellery design the trend can be observed that designers accompany their designs single-handedly from the initial idea up to production and distribution - independent of big companies and prestigious brands. And for exactly these independently operating designers the design shopping event provides a platform where they can present their designs and sell them to the general public. The event is to be understood not only as an exhibition, but also as a design platform. Therefore, it offers a number of special formats such as a design workshop or the "Mini Design Award".
The Blickfang will take place on 3 days from Friday, 16. March to Sunday, 18. March 2018 in Stuttgart.
